Advent Blog Day Three – Lenny Henry Secret Stand Up
The wonderful girls from Comedy Gold, who hold their comedy night every month at The Old Queen’s Head had their Christmas party last night – and with it came a whole host of special guests, including the one and only Lenny Henry, who came in straight from playing Othello in the West End.
Performing a 20 minute stand up routine, Lenny took the opportunity to test some new material out, wowing The Old Queen’s Heads audience with a barrage of jokes, one liners and songs and raps. Yes Lenny Henry rapped.
The rest of the night was equally as entertaining, with amazing set’s from Tim Key, Benny Boot, Chris Martin & Alistair Barrie and Chris Addison
Comedy Gold host a monthly residency at The Old Queen’s Head and their next event is on the 20th January. Watch this space for details.
